This project emerged out of a brief at the Visual Communications course here at BHSAD. We had a task to create a stencil of the word "friendship" with one of the fonts to choose from and think how and on what surfaces this label may be placed.

The font I really liked was cumbersome job antique type, which I associate with something high-profile, expensive and rich. 

Having drawn a parallel with the word "friendship", I decided to fill it with its original meaning and painted it with gold so that the viewer would associate it with such phrases like "cherish friendship" and would see "friendship" as something sacred, pure and kind. After all, friendship is almost like love, sometimes even more tangible and more reliable. 

Developing my idea further, I started thinking that friendship is something all of us have experienced: it may be born and may die between rich and poor, adults and kids, homeless and billionaires. 

Thus, this project of mine shows that the golden friendship feeling exists even in the most impoverished and dirty environment and that, perhaps, in this environment it is brighter and more honest than anywhere else.
