Over 40 projects executed by the students and graduates of the BHSAD will be presented at the annual Design Next exhibition that opens at the Central House of Artist on April 10th. This is a unique opportunity to get to know the artists, their works, to visit workshops and learn about the School’s educational programmes.
Students of Russian and British programmes will demonstrate their works at the exhibition, including Fashion design. Basic Course, Jewellery Design, Visual Communications, Contemporary Art, Multimedia Art, BA (Hons) Fine Art, BA (Hons) Fashion, BA (Hons) Interior Architecture & Design, BA (Hons) Graphic Design, BA (Hons) Product & Industrial Design.
The display will feature garments made of alternative and recycled materials, transformer jewellery collections, science-art installations, unique VR experience, projects dedicated to responsible design, as well as projects by industrial designers.
Apart from the exhibition, the visitors will have a chance to participate in workshops by BHSAD tutors and guest speakers.

Lecture by Mikhail Shettler «Data Inflation in Graphic Design»
We are attacked by heaps of data on a daily basis. Therefore we develop unconscious algorithms that help us separate important messages from the information noise. How is can it be interpreted using the language of graphic design? What information is more likely to be perceived? Mikhail Shetller, designer at ONY studio and lead tutor of the preparatory course for CPD programmes, will answer these and many other questions.

Joint workshop of BHSAD and Procharity intellectual volunteering platform
Procharity is an online platform where charitable foundations meet intellectual professionals (designers, marketing specialists, copyrighters, lawyers) so that the former could get the support they need, and the latter could have a chance to provide help using their skills and knowledge.
As part of the workshop, the participants will try their hands in creating ideas for visual identity for a fundraiser organized by Konstantin Khabensky Foundation.

Science Slam: Art
Science Slam is a ‘battle’ between the city’s best young scientists. This slam will be dedicated to art in science: scientists will tell how visual methods help them in their research. Four scholars will take the floor over 10 minutes, and the audience will choose the winner.
Speakers: Viktoriya Vyakhoreva, director of communications at Konstantin Khabensky Foundation; art directors Alyona Zhokina and Natalya Burdenkova, graduate of Visual Communications programme.
