The Legrand company — one of the world leaders in the field of electrical equipment production — held a competition among BHSAD students to create a design for a premium line of sockets and switches. Competitors conducted in-depth research and prepared a presentation of their ideas. Christina Inozemtseva invented a special rotary socket design, which, in its normal position, is hidden in the wall, and its panels appear to be stylish, decorative elements. Julia Dorofeeva came up with a design that provides unprecedented convenience. She designed a socket, the internal circular portion of which (the one with holes) is not fixed, but rotates on its axis, according to a user's needs. The jury, consisting of representatives of Legrand company, noted the high quality of the students' work, recognising their professionalism and dedication in preparing for the project. The British Higher School of Design wishes to thank Legrand for the opportunity for our students to develop ideas for attractive, functional product design, and hopes for further fruitful cooperation.
