| On June 10th the first graduate show took place in ISO Studio for the British Higher School of Art and Design's graduates of the Fashion Design. Continuing Professional Development programme.

| The annual exhibition-competition for design pathway graduates: D&AD Student Awards organized by the British Art Directors Club has come to an end. We are very pleased that for the last three seasons the jury of such a definitive competition has not overlooked the outcomes of BHSAD students. |

| Early June brought BHSAD’s annual student exhibition featuring final projects in the following pathways: Graphic Design & Illustration, Fashion Design, Product Design, and Interior & Spatial Design.

| On June 5, 2010, during the Open Day an awards ceremony was held for the winners of Karim Rashid Inspiration competition. The latter was organised by ASUS in collaboration with British High School of Arts and Design. Five students of the Product Design course received three main prizes and two People's Choice awards. |

| Results of the sixth design and advertising competition ADCR Awards 2010 have been announced recently. Winners in the Student of the Year/Young Creators category are two students of the Visual Communications course at BHSAD.

| The British Higher School of Art and Design has kept up a partnership with international design agency Pearlfisher for several years. Our students have visited their London office twice, and a week after the last visit the entire Level 1 Graphic Design & Illustration group, tutored by Tim Simmons and Dmitry Karpov, worked on a brief from this well-known agency. |

| Students from both level one and two on the Interior and Spatial Design course have done well in competitions recently. First years Anna Chitkarova and Anna Tsoy were both short-listed for the London Design Museum ‘Design Factory’ competition for a project exploring human-centred design. And Maria Semchenko, a second level part-timer, was short-listed for the ProjectNEXT and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) competition for an eco-design interior.

| The Fashion Design Course Leader has now established her studio in Moscow and is launching her A/W debut collection as part of the British Council's British Designers day at Russian Fashion Week on April 2, showing alongside Osman Yousefzada, PPQ and Eley Kishimoto. |

| The first meeting of BHSAD Alumni Club members held on February 15. The Alumni Club has been formed with the purpose of establishing the connection between the School and its graduates. |

| Ekaterina Khramkova, a lecturer on the Design Management course, has recently become a regular design columnist for Harvard Business Review Russia, a popular monthly magazine focussing on different aspects of business and management. |

| Vladimir Yuzbashev, who teaches on BA Interior and Spatial Design course and is also a practising architect and designer, has received the Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2009, a prestigious international design award. Vladimir claimed a prize in the Home Furniture nomination.

| An annual awards ceremony for Bachelor and Master graduates of Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries of University of Herrfordshire was held on November 11 in St Albans. This year 11 BA (Bachelor of Arts) degrees were awarded to the students of the British Higher School of Art & Design.

| On November, 14 "The First Designer's Forum" will be held in Ekepeople-Moscow showroom. Anna Chernykh and Vladimir Tilinin, Course Directors of Fashion Design course, as well as a tutor Alyona Arefyeva, will be delivering a lecture "Fashion and Cinema. Cinema and Fashion". |

| On the 22nd of October Transitions exhibition will open at Flacon Factory bringing together four British artists. Each artist has individually responded to the theme of transition in diverse and alternative ways. |

| On September 10, Clare Lopeman, designer and curator of the Fashion Design programme of the British Higher School of Art and Design, gave a lecture in TsUM (Central Department Store). During the event all participants could speak out their opinions on fashion industry and get answers to any, however provocative, questions. |

| On the 5th of September AdverType exhibition will open. The aim of the exposition is to promote typography and typeface design, and to acquaint a vast number of professionals with interesting artefacts collected during the last 20 years. |
