On 11 February the Russian State Library, Polish Cultural Centre and MARCH Architecture School will organize speeches and a panel discussion between the restoration architect Marek Kowalczyk and the DNK ag partners and curators of the crush course PRO “Re(New) Practicum in Building Reconstruction”, Daniil Lorenz, Natalia Sidorova and Konstantin Khodnev.
In Moscow, Marek Kowalczyk worked on restoring the redbrick Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Holy Virgin Mary on Malaya Gruzinskaya St. He will speak about his principles of work and ways of handling such valuable historical and architectural landmarks.
The DNK ag partners will describe how to identify values to be invested in a new original image of a place and make it glow with new light using as an example the Rassvet area redevelopment project in Stolyarny Lane (RASSVET LOFT * Studio).
The talk will be moderated by Alexander Ostrogorsky, journalist, analyst, architectural critic and MARCH Architecture School tutor.
The event will be staged within the framework of the exhibition “Namesakes. Poland 2018”.
