The fifth meeting of the Club will be dedicated to the competitive show on Russian and foreign short films in one of the most famous festivals - the International Moscow.
Moscow International Film Festival is one of the oldest in the world. It was first held in 1935, Chairman of the Jury was Sergei Eisenstein. His honors were awarded outstanding masters of world cinema - Akira Kurosawa and Stanley Kramer, Federico Fellini and Ettore Scola, Andrzej Wajda and Francesco Rosi, Krzysztof Zanussi and Damiano Damiani, Gleb Panfilov and Sergei Gerasimov, Bernard Blier and Alexander Rogozhkin. MIFF paved the way for filmmakers who later became famous all over the world: Istvan Szabo and Kaneto Shindo, Krzysztof Kieslowski and Aki Kaurismaki, Kohei Oguri and Humberto Solas.
For the first time the meeting of the Club of short films will be the guest of a member of the selection committee MIFF - Olga Artemyev engaged in the selection of short films in the festival program.
During the meeting, the audience will look at short films participating in the competition program of the 37th Moscow International Film Festival, and will discuss with the guest questions regarding short films participating in the festival program.
