The Swiss architect Peter Märkli will be our guest at 7:30 p.m. on 22 October. 

He is known for his attention to materials, forms and proportions. Among his better-known projects is La Congiunta Museum with works by the sculptor Hans Josephsohn in the canton of Ticino, the Novartis office building in Basel and the Synthes company headquarters in Solothurn. Peter Märkli actively cooperates with artists and has a professional interest in the interaction of architecture with the landscape.

He is known for his attention to materials, forms and proportions. Among his better-known projects is La Congiunta Museum with works by the sculptor Hans Josephsohn in the canton of Ticino, the Novartis office building in Basel and the Synthes company headquarters in Solothurn. Peter Märkli actively cooperates with artists and has a professional interest in the interaction of architecture with the landscape. 

He will read a lecture on “The Space of Landscape”, discuss his projects in Switzerland and his collaboration with the Nikola-Lenivets art park and take questions.

The lecture will be held with the support of the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and Nikola-Lenivets art park.

The lecture will be given in German with consecutive translation into Russian.
