University of Hertfordshire, the educational partner of the British Higher School of Design, received the top gold ranking in the Teaching Excellence Framework — the UK’s assessment of teaching excellence in higher education.
The British higher school of art and design becomes an official partner of the British education fair Study UK. And on 3 February Tim Simmons, course director of BA programmes of the BHSAD, will give a lecture on the British approach to creative studies.
The British higher school of art and design launches 3 new BA programmes – BA (Hons) Jewellery, BA (Hons) Textiles и BA (Hons) Marketing with Digital Communications. Courses will start in September 2019.
In December 2018 and January 2019, the British Higher School of Art and Design will host three free workshops for young specialists working in the fields of service design, fashion design and illustration.
BHSAD took part at the strategic session on region development in Buryatia
From 13 till 15 February strategic session on region development took part in Ulan-Ude. Teachers of the BHSAD and specialists of different industries – Umberto Giraudo, BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design course leader, Fedor Raschevsky, architect and course leader of "Interior design" course and fashion designers Anna Chernykh and Vladimir Tamilin – shared their experience and ideas on developing the region.
Baikal BEST programme is the initiative of the Ministry of Economics of Buryatia. At first only government officials were involved in the programme, but then its initiators decided to invite creative minds to share their insights as well.
During the session different topics were discussed, such as recycling, developing tourism and improving the quality of life. Designers Anna Chernykh and Vladimir Tamilin advised that fashion industry can be used to promote the culture and tourism of the region, while architect Fedor Raschevsky started working on creating a new creative cluster based in an old distillery in Ulan-Ude.
Baikal BEST program will be in the works until 2035. And this year's session opened the opportunity of involving specialists from creative industries in this project.
