Starting from April, Universal University director Ekaterina Cherkes-zade also becomes the head of the British school of art and design, which is one the University’s projects. This structural change is related to the long-term strategy to bring closer together different schools within Universal University.
Alongside the BHSAD, the University unites the School of Computer Technologies Scream School, the Moscow School of Cinema, the Moscow School of Architecture MARS, the Moscow School of Communications MACS, the Moscow School of Music and the Moscow School of Cinema. The BHSAD was the pioneer project that prompted the creation of the university for the creative industries 16 years ago. In April 2018 different schools were finally united within Universal University.
Ekaterina Cherkes-zade dedicated over 10 years developing Universal University projects, and for the last 3 years has been the director of the University. Following the long-term strategy Universal University will launch new educational projects and continue working on multidisciplinarity, as well as developing existing schools within the University.
