The idea of such marathon was introduced in 1990 by an American cartoonist Scott McCloud who made a bet with his friend he could create a full comic in only 24 hours. Soon, the challenge gained support of other illustrators and cartoonists, and the yearly tradition to hold 24-hour Comics Day has emerged.
Students of different programmes were invited to take part in the marathon this year. In total 30 people participated in it. We give special thanks to Alina Konovalova, Anastasia Kozlova, Daria Badulina and Yulia Shipilova for the provided finished works.
All students successfully completed the task. We thank our partner ZIL Cultural Center for providing space and organizational assistance.
Works of Anastasia Kozlova and Yulia Shipilova are used in the article.
