We have put together questions and answers to help you understand how the process will be built.
When does the academic year start?
Currently we are getting ready for the start of the new academic year, and admission to all BHSD programmes is now open. We expect that by autumn all educational institutions will resume their work offline. We are working to ensure that all our students continue their studies in a productive and safe environment at Universal University.
- British Degree Programmes start in September and Pre-Degree Programmes in October 2020
- CPD programmes start in November 2020
- Summer short course will be moved to online until further notice.
How will entrance exams be organised?
Entrance exams for all programmes will be held in a remote format (until the School re-opens). This applies to all forms of exams (interviews, portfolio review, business cases, etc.) and to all programmes (British undergraduate programmes, Russian continuing education programmes, and programmes for teens). For more details on the admission process check the page of the programme you are interested in.
Can I get a consultation?
To ask a question and get more information on our programmes, you can leave a request on the School’s website, contact the Admissions Committee by e-mail [email protected] or give us a call +7 (495) 640 30 15. You can also sign up for an online consultation or drop us a message on social media.
How do I prepare a portfolio?
One of the key requirements for admission to long-term programmes at BHSD is a creative portfolio. We have a summer portfolio preparation course. At the moment we work on a new format of the course, stay tuned for updates on the site.
How do I take an English exam for BA (Hons) programmes during pandemic?
Proof of English proficiency is required for undergraduate programmes at the British Higher School of Art and Design and Moscow School of Contemporary Art. Since the international IELTS centres are temporarily closed, this year we are ready to accept the results of alternative tests: IELTS Indicator, Duolingo test for English. For more information, see the programme pages.
For Foundation programmes IELTS is not required, we will organise an internal English test.
Will the tuition fees change?
The tuition fees indicated on the website are relevant for the next academic year and will not change. Tuition fees for programmes of continuing education, undergraduate and MBA programmes will be fixed for the entire period of study.
If you have any questions on our programmes and admission requirements, feel free to contact us at [email protected] or +7 (495) 640 30 15.
