This year, Pre-Degree and Degree Show were open to the public during July. For those who did not have time to visit the exhibitions, all the works of our graduates are now also available online: visit Britanka Degree Show 2021 and Britanka Pre-Degree Show 2021 to find out what the BHSAD students have been working on this year.
The visual identity for online exhibitions was developed by Non-Objective studio. “When working on the sites for the BHSAD exhibitions, we tried to create a style that would be independent and memorable, but at the same time would not distract from the main thing —students' work. At the same time, we wanted to emphasise that students from different levels participate in the exhibitions, so that site visitors, potential employers or applicants could see the dynamics and growth — how their works change from the first year at the BHSAD through to graduation. Therefore, the identity is based on the multistage nature of the European system of higher education, which is symbolically reflected in the graph: the number of points corresponds to the levels and accumulated knowledge. Together with a restrained colour palette and layout, these graphics gave us a flexible system, according to which we developed both sites, " — say Artyom Matyushkin, Vanya Koltsov and Anastasia Kim from the Non-Objective studio.
Britanka New Creatives Festival was launched in 2019 as a festival for everyone interested in art, design, culture and the future they shape. The festival provides an insight into the British education system in the field of art and design and demonstrates different levels of students' skills — from the entry-level students of Pre-Degree programmes, who are just trying their hand in different directions and determine the scope of their interests, to the professional level of graduates of our undergraduate programmes.
We thank the Non-Objective team for helping us develop websites for online exhibitions!
