The Alumni Club has a self-regulatory structure, and is led by graduates themselves. This year the Club is headed by Nadezhda Zhukova ( Producing, class of 2014 MFS), Tatiana Kolyadko (Cinematography, class of 2015 MFS), Denis Geiko (Compositing, class of 2010, Scream School), Andrew Zemnov (Game design, class of 2013, Scream School).
Organisation of the first meeting, together with the Centre for Industry Relations was overseen by a group of graduates. We would like to thank Nadezhda Zhukova, Stanislav Paushev, Yevgeniya Yegorova, Yevgeniya Bogomyakova, Victor Tusov, Elisey Bulatov, Elena Filippik, Denis Geiko, Andrey Zemnov, Tatiana Kolyadko and Pavel Grankina for their enormous contribution to the preparation and organisation of the event, as well as Varvara Aleshkevich for her help!
The role of the Club is the development of partnership projects between alumni, information about new projects and job openings, participation in special events for alumni (closed pitching, reunions, etc...), the creation of an active professional community, communication with each other and with industry representatives, collaboration with professional associations and guilds, the integration of graduates into the faculty council, the development of special education programmes for graduates, the organisation of project activities with the involvement of investors, and more.
During the meeting, Alumni Club leaders presented a new concept for the club and spoke about plans for the coming year. The Schools' partners provided information about vacancies and entered alumnis' contacts into a professional database. The special guest of the meeting was MFS graduate Ilya Nayshuller, who showed working edits of his film "Hardcore", and spoke about the process of working on a film and shared his thoughts on the prospects for the project.
A nice surprise at the end of the meeting was a lottery with prizes from the School and their partner companies.
"Our Alumni Club is an independent community of active young professionals who, through the club, aim to achieve a variety of communicative and business objectives, and can also, on behalf of the Club, work with professional non-governmental organisations and the media," says the director of the Moscow Film School, Ekaterina Cherkes-Zade. "I would like the Club to increase our sphere of influence, and to put important issues for young professionals in front of them and society. I'm sure our Alumni Club has a great future.
