Angus Colvin, Lead Tutor of BA (Hons) Product & Industrial Design, spoke at PUSHKA Forum on the responsibility of designers to the international community.
The 20th International Biennial of Art will take place in the Portugal city of Cerveira from August 10 to September 23. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the organizers invited more than 400 artists, and also art-focused educational institutions, 21 schools in total, including the British Higher School of Art and Design.
On November 16 and 17, the Russian-German forum of creative industries ART WERK will take place for the second time at Winzavod in Moscow. Key participants of the forum are entrepreneurs, representatives from municipal government and creative community in both Germany and Russia.
The programme of the event includes panel discussions, coaching sessions, master classes, workshops, Creative Talks presentations given by architects, artists, publishers, urbanists, musicians, designers, representatives of the media, as well as the Russian-German exhibition of creative start-ups. The British Higher School of Art and Design will show the ART WERK guests the works of students and graduates of the BA (Hons) Product and Industrial Design and Jewelry Design programmes.
On November 16, during the panel discussion on Innovations Erasing the Boundaries: the Place of creative Industries in the World of Technology, the head of the Art & Science, Design and Technology project initiative at the British Higher School of Art and Design Vera Baklashova and representatives of innovation design centres from Russia and Germany will discuss how to spark sustainable innovations by cooperation between creative industries and technology.
Universal University Director Ekaterina Cherkes-Zade, together with the director of Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft mbH center Egbert Rühl and Matthias Berg, founder of the Hamburg School of Ideas copywriting school, will participate in the panel discussion on How to Teach the Art of Doing Business. The discussion will take place on November 17 at 12:00.
