PhD in cultural studies, performance art scholar, curator, translator, lecturer at the British Higher School of Art and Design and Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, Ms. Antonyan grew up in Moscow, lived and studied in Spain and the USA. She earned her MA with honors in Intercultural Communication and PhD in Culture Studies from Lomonosov Moscow State University. As a Fulbright Scholar she conducted research at Columbia University, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and MoMA Research Center in New York as well as worked with the personal archive of Marina Abramović. Ms. Antonyan is the author of the first book about Performance art in Russia. She elaborated a special performance art program for Moscow School of Contemporary Art and curated five large-scale live art student exhibitions at BHSAD.
Author of a number of scientific articles, reports and lecture courses in Russian, English and Spanish.
