Soraja Helac has served globally private and institutional collections as an art advisor in the fine art industry for more than decade. She has worked with emerging and established artists and her client mandates include primary and secondary art market sales.
She held professor positions at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and Christie’s Education and has spoken on panels and lectured extensively on the topic of art advising, collecting and art gallery operations.
Soraja owned her own gallery in Chelsea, New York, has worked for several art institutions, including The Neue Galerie Museum in New York City, the Villa Merkel Museum in Esslingen, Germany, and for a private art dealer in New York City specializing in Impressionist and Modern Art. She was a member of curatorial and acquisition committees of major art museums, such as the Guggenheim Museum in New York City, the Benefit Committee at CITYarts, New York, and the Jury for Photo Days in Croatia.
