STUDENTS PRESENTED TWO MAJOR PROJECTS AT GROUND ZINE FEST

Students of BA (Hons) Graphic Design presented two projects at Ground Zine Fest, a major festival of small publishing projects and music labels. The display took place at GROUND Khodynka and GROUND Peschanaya galleries.

Independent publishing initiatives have now come to the new stage of their development, becoming the driver behind artistic experiments. Young artists, photographs, designers, writers and musicians have covered all areas of modern thought during the festival, embodied in zines, journals, art books and other experimental forms.

Art on the Mic, the first students' project, consists of a radio show and a campaign developed by second-year students with the support of the Modern Culture Archive (MCA). The installation features video and graphic content that can be both listened to and purchased. The second project is the result of collaboration of the curator of GROUND gallery Katya Bochavar and the BHSAD represented by tutors Claudia Doms and Injila Samad Ali.

At GROUND Peschanaya gallery students demonstrated selected works of graduates of this and last years, as well as 19 posters created in collaboration with the final-year students of BA (Hons) Fine Art.
