Liliya Kosyreva, Foundation Art and Design student, was chosen to participate in the 5th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art thanks to her touching works that were included in the main project «Deep Inside», reflecting dreams of an ideal world.
The Biennale`s major project praises the aesthetics of escapism, getaway from global problems such as climate change, downturns of the world economy, social instability, moral consequences of the information revolution and many others.
Liliya based her works on visual rhymes and metaphors. This is how she explains them: «My life constitutes constant diligent work with my own body, similar to slow and deep processes in nature: shifting sands, created by wind currents; stones carved by the winds; enclosed spaces formed by the Providence; islands shaped by the ocean and rocks sharpened by the movements of the waves and the erosion of the coastline».
The power to change our body is one of our strengths. This power is so huge it can be compared to the forces of nature. Such parallels are embodied in elegant curves of the human body that are similar to the mesmerizing landscapes seen in various corners of the Earth.
You can check out the works by Liliya Kosyreva during the Biennale that will be held from July 1st till August 10th at Trekhgornaya Manufactura (15 Rodchelskaya St., Moscow).
