BHSAD AT SKOLKOVO JAZZ SCIENCE: INTERACTIVE PRESENTATION

BHSAD for the first time took part in Skolkovo Jazz Science festival. Students and graduates of Product Design, Illustration and Fine Art programmes presented their projects. Overall, seven interactive art objects were displayed, all representing both science and design. For example, a machine makes pictures in total chaos mode, a labyrinth of sound and light, and a calendar with haptic interface that brings time into life.

The atmosphere at the festival prompts active communication. This format turned out to be equally important both for the Britanka and for the audience that was represented mostly by generation Y and parents of the younger generation Z.

In a few years, they will be the driving force of the supply and demand in creative industries given the increasing robotization of processes. In these circumstances, discussing the current state of affairs and sharing specific user experience can have meaningful impact for them. Students and graduates of the School told the kids about being a designer and an artist in the modern society and the specifics of the British educational system and explained how to become a progressive creative professional who can make the world a better place.
