BHSAD AT RED APPLE FESTIVAL

This year, Red Apple International Advertising Festival will be held on November 15-16 for the 28th time. On November 15, the first day of the festival, Universal University Hall educational platform will be operating from 11:00 to 18:00. Guests will have an opportunity to take part in workshops, attend lectures and discussions on issues related to marketing and brand management hosted by the School’s tutors. 11:00 — 12:20 — Daring for the Sake of Progress, or How to Create Ideas? Workshop

 Coming up with ideas always means being daring. It’s a well-known fact that we merely copy what the demiurge has created. But this is our job, to reach up to him and remember what has already been created, to reformulate it and take it to the next level.

What you get: tips on a few tricks, an exciting exercise in abstracting from oneself, coming up with 20-30 takes on an idea, evaluation and crystallization of the final solution.

What you need: a brand that you will work on and search for ideas for, some paper or a notebook, a pen and an open mind.

12:30 — 13:20 — A Wake-up Call of the Black Panther: Welcome to the Future! Lecture

 Black Panther, a Marvel film released in 2017, shocked the public and turned the established marketing stereotypes upside down. What lesson of awakening did we learn and how to adapt to the new reality?

 What is EVENT 3.0?

What global and local trends are reflected in event marketing?

Speaker: Pavel Nedostoev, Dean of Event Marketing department, MACS Moscow School of Communications; Founder of DEPARTÁMENT New & Wow Marketing.

 

14:40 — 15:50 — It’s not Shameful to Shoot an Ad. Public Talk

During this public talk organized by the Moscow Film School, experts in the field of advertising and branded video will discuss such issues as: why nobody watches classic ads? What kind of advertising is OK to shoot? Who is the director of modern advertising? Do large budgets always impose additional responsibility and interfere with creative process?

During the discussion, the speakers will try to answer these questions and find out what kinds of ads catch the viewers’ attention, do not peddle the product, and help achieve targeted marketing goals.

Andrei Paukov, Creative Producer and Director, Co-founder of Zebra Hero creative agency and mentor of the Short form directing programme of the Moscow Film School;

16:00 — 18:00 — Marketing-Express. Workshop

 An express course, a workshop in which participants will take 3 modules on marketing and brand management from the experts of Marketing and Brand Management course at the British Higher School of Art and Design, and will come up with a unique solution in 2 hours. Key modules of the workshop include consumer insights, development, and communication strategy.

At the beginning of the workshop, the participants will be divided into four teams of 5-6 people and will be offered mini projects to execute using the obtained skills and life hacks. The audience will also gain important knowledge and will have an opportunity to take part in assessment of the projects.
