About the course
This short course in trend forecasting looks at the interaction of shifts in interior design, consumer lifestyle and culture, and some of the key methods used to perceive upcoming trends. Participants are shown forecasting skills, and discover how to interpret information to construct the basis of a trend predicting.

The course begins with an introduction to interior spaces through history and their relevance in society. Analysing of styles and trends students will learn direct research methods based on user observations and interviewing.

During the course participants will discover analytical tools for research as the definition of traffic heatmaps, focal points, lights, analysis of statistics; techniques for brainstorming and quick prototyping; testing concepts. At the end of the course students will analyze of the preliminary results and towards freezing of the project. Students will show their presentations to tutors and peers for additional feedback and a valuable exchange of their research and predicting outcomes.

The course is aimed at those practicing spatial designers and architects who want to further develop research skills and practicing on the design of spaces for the community.

The course is taught in English. Required level of English for participants is IELTS 6 or higher.
