London Metropolitan University

The partnership between London Metropolitan University and the Moscow Architecture School MARCH is unique in the Russian educational landscape.

The University as it is today was created in 2002 with the merging of London Guildhall University and the University of North London, the first merger between two universities in the UK. Its roots, however, lie firmly in the nineteenth century with the establishment of the Metropolitan Evening Classes for Young Men in 1848.

LMU is a diverse and vibrant university right in the centre of London. It offers courses from design to life sciences; from business to computing; and law to anthropology. Here you can study as an undergraduate or a postgraduate student, or undertake professional or vocational training.

In Russia, LMU has been partnering with the State University of Management (SUM) and Moscow International Business School MIRBIS.

The Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design at LMU is internationally recognised for its high quality teaching, excellent facilities and unique interdisciplinary opportunities offering a unique range of courses in architecture, interior design, urban design and environmental design.

The faculty is at the forefront of contemporary developments in design education and practice and has established a high reputation for the quality of its courses which run from Foundation level through to professional qualification and include a number of research-oriented Masters-level programmes. The faculty has a powerful academic agenda offering flexibility and choice with a particular emphasis on the relevance of design within contemporary culture including valuable work in areas subject to social deprivation and political change. The teaching programmes are innovative yet relevant to the needs of contemporary graduates.
