The series of works called Paper Clips (2017) depicts a banal office object as a unique subject. Pencil drawings show the beauty and the movement of a banded metal. As the 3D object is transcribed as a drawing onto the surface of the paper, such aspects as scale are lost. Initial point was to see the beauty of details and shapes. Paper clips were collected in the office surroundings and brought into the studio. Repeated over and over again, the series of drawings of a paper clip combine the idea of process, routine, everydayness, materials, details and observation.
