INDUSTRY RELATIONS DEPARTMENT

BHSAD Industry Relations Department is a dedicated service that assists with the establishment of valuable links between students and businesses. Our commercial collaborative partners benefit from the talent management and expert consultancy provided by BHSAD, and these partnerships support the School's aim to make the education we offer relevant to our students' future careers.

INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS

Partnerships with the industry assist our students in gaining real-life educational experience and valuable practice. Moreover, the partnerships provide students with the opportunity to embark on their professional futures in the creative industries before they have graduate, generate an impressive range of ideas to answer the partner company's live brief, and gain required skills by working closely with industry professionals.

The School has strong links with many local and international design studios, advertising agencies, architectural bureaus and manufacturing companies, and has significant expertise in maintaining a framework that supports a partner company’s business needs, whilst helping students to gain first-hand knowledge of what is required to succeed in the creative sector.

These partnerships can take different shapes and forms, ranging from strategic alliances and sponsorship of student projects to work placements and employment.

SCHOOL AND PROGRAMME SUPPORT

Companies that share our passion for creativity form lasting relationships with the School or one of its programmes. Presently, BHSAD boasts such facilities as the HP Lab, Russia’s first Roland DG Academy, a state-of-the-art 3D workshop fitted out with equipment from global market leaders Festool, Metabo, Jet, Proxxon, SATA and others. A Nikon Photostudio, the Bowens&Wilkins Audio hall and a Fujifilm rental shop also operate at the School.

The British Higher School of Art and Design is always reaching out to businesses that are committed to supporting our creative talent. Companies can support us in many ways. Opening a design lab or a highly specialised training centre may provide the students with access to a partner company’s software, equipment or products, which helps build a loyal user base amongst the design community. By sponsoring a course or programme, companies provide vital financial support for our students, whilst bringing benefit to themselves through our PR opportunities, student project outcomes and graduate recruits.

Support of our programmes can be done by means of direct funding, providing equipment and services or by presenting public talks and workshops at the School. These types of activities bridge the gap between the real needs of the industry and creative education and the partner company receives dedicated PR support, effective exposure of their brand and contact with potential future employees.
