About the course
Admission will open in spring 2021.
This programme is designed for those who are interested in fashion in all of its manifestations and want to gain knowledge and skills in this area and translate their creative ideas into fashion items. The programme is suitable for beginners, but specialized education will be a plus.
The goal of the programme is to teach students the basics of fashion design and equip them with the key tools for creating clothes. Students will be able to develop concepts, master various methods of designing clothes, including digital ones, get an idea of modern materials and technologies for working with textiles, and begin to study software for 3D graphics. During the course, students will get a detailed introduction to all the stages of fashion design. At the end of the course students will create their own fashion collection.

Programme Structure
Year 1
Fashion design
The discipline is based on the method of artistic design of fashion collections, combining such areas of knowledge as artistic costume design, engineering of design items, applied ergonomics and modeling.
Technology and material
The discipline studies the technological sequence of processing garments; composition, types of fabric, properties and methods of their production, garments manufacture.
Construction
The discipline covers the principles of engineering and artistic design of industrial products, the development of clothing design according to sketches and samples, methods of constructive modeling, algorithms for model transformations of the basic designs.
Basics of 3D
Creating a virtual prototype of a product with specified physical properties of materials and a visual complex corresponding to the concept.
Basics of technical drawing
Students will learn how to create technical sketches and technical assignments in the Adobe Illustrator programme in order to work with designers, patterns or to create commercial matrices for collections.
Sketching
Skills of creating quick sketches to demonstrate a conceptual idea; as a graphic representation of various surfaces and textures of materials; spatial image of volumetric objects, done with a pencil, ballpoint pen, marker.
Costume history (online)
Architectonics of small forms
Learning the abstract expression of an artistic idea through spatial composition and using various materials.

Project graphics (online)
