Tim Simmons is a specialist in transnational learning and teaching within art, design and the wider creative industries.
Tim is an original, founding member of the British Higher School of Art & Design which he joined in 2006 as Programme Leader BA (Hons) Graphic Design and Illustration.
In 2012 Tim became Head of British programmes at BHSAD and in 2021 became Dean of Academic Strategy: International programmes at Universal University. In these roles he provides academic leadership, supporting the future of the Russian creative industries.
Tim is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.
His research centres around emergent technologies for artistic application, currently working with 3D digital capture, game engines and digital environments. Research themes including banal topographies, non-places and the visual language of advertising.
