About the course
This programme is aimed at those students who want to apply to Foundation Art & Design course, and to further progress onto BA programmes.
The goal of the course is to prepare a creative portfolio which is one of main entry requirements for Foundation Art & Design programme. The course allows students to adapt to the to intensive curriculum of the British Art & Design education, as well as work in different techniques and mediums, use a variety of materials and improve presentation skills.
The successful completion of the course guarantees applicants' progression onto Foundation Art & Design programme (if other requirements are met, including certificates of previous education and the level of English).
This course will also be useful for students with a low level of training as preparation for Pre-Foundation Art & Design programme.
This course is taught primarily in Russian.

Main modules
Mixed media and visualisation - 45 hours
- Studio-based classes
- Working in workshops (3D visualization, ceramics, printing, photo studio)
- Experimenting with different materials and techniques
Multidisciplinary art and design projects - 45 hours
- Main principles for developing creative projects in the British higher education system
- Working on several briefs
Creating a portfolio and preparing for an interview - 3 hours
Portfolio review and interview - 7 hours
The course also includes independent work (approximately 10 hours per week).

How can I apply?
Applicants need to provide the following documents:
- online application form
- copy or the original of previous education certificates and academic qualifications.
- 2 photos 3×4
- copy of your passport
After the necessary documents are provided you need to sign the contracts. For applicants under 18 presence of one of the parents is required. More details about the application process can be found in the “How to apply” section of the website.
What is the language of delivery?
The education at BHSAD is provided by an international team of lecturers but the working language is always English for our British programmes.
