Students of Interior Design CPD programme Maria Petrova and Elena Andronova won at Reload my Pharmacy contest organized by L'Oréal. They were given an opportunity to present their project on an international stage in Barcelona, competing with students of world's best architectural schools.
Reload my Pharmacy annual contest was held for the fourth time among students of design and architecture. The contestants had to present their projects to demonstrate how effective design of commercial property can affect success and profitability of businesses. Maria Petrova and Elena Andronova were chosen after national preliminary stage to represent Russia in competition with teams from five other European countries: Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and Portugal. For six months the students worked on a project to overhaul a Moscow pharmacy chain. Maria and Elena created the interior design and developed a concept for client servicing, keeping in mind the project's profitability. The contestants were to turn the pharmacy into a modern space, functional and customer-friendly.
"It was an interesting project, especially for us, beginners in interior design. We are grateful to the School for an opportunity to show our skills on an international level. We are delighted by the victory and eager to do more! We would like to say special 'thank you' to Elena Babkina, our programme's curator, who provided her help, advice and support during the whole preparation stage", say the winners of the contest.
